  Summary: 

The Centre for Malaysian Chinese Studies (CMCS) was established in 1985 and is a non-profit research institution committed to the study of the Chinese community in Malaysia as well as Chinese studies more broadly. The scope of CMCS’s research and publications covers history, society, culture, education, language, literature, religion, politics, and economics, with particular emphasis on archival work, field research, and comparative and cross-regional studies.

Since its establishment, CMCS has published a wide range of academic monographs, research paper collections, conference proceedings, journals, and reference materials, which have been widely used by universities, research institutions, and libraries both locally and internationally.

  Summary:  The Malaysian Public Library, Research and Development Centre  (MPLRDC), originally known as Malayan Public Library Association (MPLA) was officially founded in 1955 as a non-profit organisation. Its main objective was to promote culture and education by establishing public libraries and adult education classes throughout then Malaya.
