王赓武教授 | 主讲人

中国文明有着如此久远的历史，以至于可能没有人能够完全理解它。王赓武教授是中国学者界的泰斗，毕生致力于研究、教学，并在中国历史和华人海外研究领域作出了重要贡献。他荣获过唐奖，并是剑桥大学八百周年庆典上授予荣誉文学博士学位的十位荣誉获得者之一。王教授曾任香港大学副校长、新加坡国立大学李光耀公共政策学院创院院长，以及澳大利亚国立大学荣誉教授。

“The civilisation of China is of such extreme antiquity that probably no one is able to understand it fully.” Prof Wang, the doyen of China scholars, has spent a lifetime studying, teaching and contributing seminal works on Chinese history and the Chinese overseas. He is the recipient of the Tang Prize and one of only ten honorands to be conferred an honorary degree (DLitt) by Cambridge University to mark its 800th anniversary. Prof Wang’s appointments have included Vice-Chancellor of Hong Kong University, founding Chairman of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, and Professor Emeritus of the Australian National University.

Professor Danny Wong Tze Ken Moderator

Prof Wong is Professor of History at Universiti Malaya where he teaches the history of Southeast Asia and of China. His areas of expertise are the Chinese in Malaysia, China’s relations with Southeast Asia and history of Sabah. He has served as Visiting Professor at Peking University; Visiting Yip (Chinese) Fellow at Magdalene College, Cambridge; Visiting Scholar at the Hakka College, National Central University, Taiwan; and Visiting Professor at the Center for Integrated Area Studies, Kyoto University.
